Trail Mountain Bikes
Trail mountain bikes are the versatile workhorses of the North Shore and Squamish trail networks, and Dunbar Cycles carries the full spectrum from hardtail entry points to carbon fibre race rigs.
Hardtail Trail Bikes
The Specialized Rockhopper and Norco Storm are the honest starting point for new riders or anyone who wants a sharp, efficient trail machine. Lightweight frames, reliable drivetrains, and zero suspension maintenance make hardtails a perennial favourite for riders who want to spend more time pedalling and less time in the service queue.
Full-Suspension Trail Bikes
For technical terrain, roots, and the relentless rock rolls that define local riding, full suspension is worth it. The Specialized Stumpjumper 15 is the benchmark of the category, available in alloy builds from $2,800 and carbon S-Works configurations well into five figures. Santa Cruz's Tallboy (29er efficiency) and Hightower (140mm all-mountain geometry) cover the spectrum from fast-rolling XC-leaning rides to rowdy technical descents. The Santa Cruz Bronson bridges trail and enduro with 145mm of travel, making it a great choice for riders who want one bike to do everything. Norco's Optic and Sight round out the lineup with Canadian-designed geometry tuned specifically for BC conditions.
We stock trail bikes from four brands, with carbon and alloy builds across all budgets. Riders seeking bigger adventures can explore our Enduro mountain bikes. Custom-build options are available through our MTB frames collection
