Brakes (MTB PARTS)
Mountain bike brakes are the most safety-critical component on your bike, and the right setup depends on your riding style, terrain, and the brands your current build runs. This collection covers every brake component for trail, enduro, and downhill riding, from complete hydraulic disc brake sets to individual pads, rotors, adapters, and bleed supplies.
Hydraulic disc brakes and brake kits run from $150 to $850 CAD per brake. SRAM Code and Maven are the standard choice for enduro and gravity riding, with four-piston power sized for steep, high-speed terrain. SRAM Level and Guide cover trail and all-mountain. Shimano's XT, SLX, and Saint lines deliver comparable power with a different lever feel and proven long-term reliability. Hope and Magura round out the range with boutique performance and distinctive finishes. Most riders buy a front and rear set together; each listing notes whether the brake ships as front, rear, or either.
Brake pads and rotors are the highest-turnover components and should be inspected regularly, especially after the wet BC riding season. The collection includes organic, semi-metallic, and sintered compounds from SRAM, Shimano, Galfer, Jagwire, and Kool-Stop, covering most calipers in common use. Rotors run 160mm through 200mm in 6-bolt and Centerlock formats.
Bleed kits, levers, and adapters cover everything needed to service or upgrade an existing system without replacing the whole caliper.
Both the Vancouver and Squamish locations offer full brake service including bleeds and pad and rotor replacement.
